I’m Des, a versatile copywriter, editor, and social media specialist based in Portland, OR. With a bachelor’s degree in advertising and media studies from the University of Oregon, I've built a career around creating impactful content and strategic digital engagement.
My professional journey spans various roles, from enhancing AI chatbots’ conversational abilities to managing social media for local businesses.I’ve had internships with the oldest ad agency in Ghana, Mullen Lowe, as well as with my hometown Portland Trail Blazers. I’ve crafted compelling content for diverse platforms, including articles, social media posts, and digital campaigns, ensuring consistency and effectiveness in every project.
My experience with the Trail Blazers provided me with valuable insights into the sports media world, where I created engaging content and collaborated closely with fans and team members. Additionally, my international experience in Ghana broadened my perspective on global communication and creative strategy.
Passionate about travel, food, and culture, I’m always open to new experiences and seeking opportunities that align with my interests and expertise. My dream is to produce a travel show that fosters global empathy through authentic and affordable travel experiences.
